£10-15PH Start date ASAP.
5-10 hours per week (up for discussion). Work can be completed from home, but you need to be available to work in person at least once a week, either from our HQ office in Hoddesdon or Jen’s home in Buntingford.

Here's our situation?

We’re in a period of transition at Affinity, following rapid growth. We’re restructuring our roles throughout both admin and coaching plus we’ve a key vacant position at the moment.
 
We’ve a capable founder, who can lead the team through the changes from a vision and working-with-people point of view…. But who needs support with the details and day to day organising to be effective.

Is this you?

  • You are a natural organiser, with clear boundaries and sense of prioritisation.
  • It does not phase you to roll up your sleeves to get stuck into what is in places, is a bit of a challenging mess. In fact, you can’t wait to get started as you know this is exactly where you can help.
  • You are detail oriented, with strong focus on the when, who and how of tasks.
  • You LOVE supporting people and are willing jump into whatever tasks come your way to best serve the team. You ask for what you need to be able to learn.

What's the job?

As Personal Assistant/General Administrator, you will be expected to:
 
  • Work directly with the founder, Jennifer Page, and manage all aspects of her work and leadership. Including managing her diary, emails, tasks, priorities and communication with the wider team.
  • Have excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and in person. This can involve communication with members as well as team.
  • Take and write up meeting notes, assign actions to relevant people and follow up that they are done or identify where help is needed.
  • Ensure tasks are finished – such as following up with team members, writing up documents, formatting files correctly (use of word and excel and CRM systems needed).
  • Assist any other administrative tasks and support of other people throughout the club as needed through this transition.
  • Manage the founder as much as she manages you! (In fact, possibly more so…)
  • Bonus to be able to assist with social media and preparation of content for this – such as video editing, but not essential.

  • Jen feels supported and free to carry out the work she is good at and not drained by what she is not.
  • Everyone feels organised with what is happening and are kept ‘in the loop.’
  • We have you to call on to help when we need to, but that we also hear ‘no’ from time to time as you are clearly managing priorities.
  • We’re all having a lot of fun and this transition is easy.
